After breaking up with her bad-news boyfriend, Reagan O’Neill is ready to leave her rebellious ways behind. . . and her best friend, country superstar Lilah Montgomery, is nursing a broken heart of her own. Fortunately, Lilah’s 24-city tour is about to kick off, offering a perfect opportunity for a girls-only summer of break-up ballads and healing hearts. But when Matt Finch joins the tour as its opening act, his boy-next-door charm proves difficult for Reagan to resist, despite her vow to live a drama-free existence. This summer, Reagan and Lilah will navigate the ups and downs of fame and friendship as they come to see that giving your heart to the right person is always a risk worth taking. A fresh new voice in contemporary romance, Emery Lord’s gorgeous writing hits all the right notes. (Goodreads synopsis)

Review:
I enjoyed this but the reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I found some things quite predictable which I will not say because otherwise it may ruin the book for those of you have not read it. Other than that it was great, the writing was really good and I was hooked form the start. I liked the friendship Reagan had with Dee, you could see that they would do anything for each other and they are never fake with anyone, they have a true friendship that some would be jealous of. There was a lot of great character development and you could really see Reagan change into a better person and not have to dwell on the past and just live. Matt Finch. Well most of the time a guy is quite confident comes of as arrogant but that is not the case with Matt, when Reagan talked to him with out all his banter he was pretty sweet and he was only hurting with the loss of his mother, it was his way of coping. You could see in the lyrics of the songs he wrote how much he cared for Reagan and even when he didn't know her he wanted to. He is the kind of guy that has his way with words but he means them. I liked that the Romance wasn't to heavy and it came of genuine which I liked.
If you are looking for you contemporary fix you will most definitely find it here. Reagan is overall badass and she spices things up a bit with her attitude. Even under all her attitude she is someone who cares a lot even if she doesn't show it.
